About TX LAX Expo
The sport of lacrosse is rapidly expanding throughout Texas. Participation at all ages and skill levels continues to grow as more people learn about this exciting sport. To encourage and support continued expansion, Texas Lacrosse Expo will:
- Broaden the Texas lacrosse fan base by raising awareness and appreciation of the sport throughout the state
- Increase player safety through better understanding of the game at all levels—players, coaches, and parents
- Substantiate youth and high school lacrosse in Texas to encourage formal recognition by schools
- Encourage financial support through individual, business, and corporate sponsorships of clubs and events
Texas Lacrosse Expo is the first event of its kind in Texas!
- Vendor booths—information and retail booths offering lacrosse equipment and uniforms; sports medicine and nutrition; trophies and awards; fan apparel; and fundraising opportunities
- Community Avenue—information booths for lacrosse umbrella and support organizations serving the Houston area
- The Locker Room—information booths for college and club level lacrosse teams
- Educational Seminars—presentations about the sport itself and related areas of interest such as sports photography, forming and funding booster clubs, etc.
- Lacrosse Photo Exhibition and Contest—a juried show of lacrosse-themed photography by amateur photographers
Although Texas Lacrosse Expo focuses on the niche of lacrosse enthusiasts, the event’s appeal is much broader. Coaches and parents involved in a variety of sports and student activities will find information of interest at the wide array of vendor booths and presentations.
